Sheri Benham grew up in Indianapolis, and moved to Bloomington in 1976 to attend Indiana University and never left. She holds her Master’s in Social Work from Indiana University. Her focus is a client-centered, collaborative approach using a trauma-informed, strength-based perspective.
Typically when working with youth, Sheri strives to incorporate the whole family into the therapy process, in order to enhance parenting skills, reduce conflicts, and improve family cohesion.
Sheri is a strong proponent of self-care or of spending time in replenishment rather than living in depletion. Her hobbies away from the office include reading, watching movies, hiking with her pup, playing, resting, and spending time with friends and family.
