Cheri Bush is the Director of Mission Advancement for Catholic Charities. She is passionate about engaging, thanking and uplifting donors for their corporal works of mercy performed through and with Catholic Charities.
Bush spent the early part of her career as a social worker in Indianapolis. She worked with homeless adults with mental illness and addictions for the ACES Project via Midtown Mental Health Center. She worked with foster youth, juveniles on probation, and students with special needs as a Dawn Project case manager and as a Child Welfare caseworker for the State of Indiana. She provided direct care to children and adults with psychiatric needs at Charter Hospital of Indianapolis. She is a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).
Bush’s leadership experience also includes chairing multiple committees, facilitating over 800 team meetings for her clients at the Dawn Project and ACES Project, reporting to multiple advisory councils and coordinating volunteers involved in the faith formation of youth from grade 7 to 12.
Bush earned a Master of Science in Child Development and Family Studies from Purdue University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Butler University. She and her husband have one daughter and two sons.
