Our mental health professionals, situated in offices throughout Bloomington, offer a comprehensive, integrated continuum of quality care for children and adults struggling with a range of life issues. We welcome all. Our practice is exercised with the highest ethical standards and innovative therapies to address the following:
Psychotherapy, or talk therapy, is a way to help people with a broad variety of mental health issues and emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy can help eliminate or control troubling symptoms so a person can function better and can increase well-being and healing. At CCB, we pride ourselves on matching a therapist with an individual who has the expertise required to treat the person. The first session will be a complete initial assessment where the therapist will gather information about your biological, psychological, and social history. Together the individual and therapist create a treatment plan that includes the goals to resolve the challenges and move them closer to having the life they wish to have. Follow-up sessions are scheduled at that time. The individual may be seen weekly, bi-weekly, or periodically, depending on treatment needs.
Family and Couples therapy is a solution-focused approach to addressing systemic relationship dynamics and fosters collaboration between the therapist and family members/couples to identify healthy alternatives for interacting with one another.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is an integrative therapy approach for the treatment of trauma and trauma-related disorders. An evidence-based protocol that directly affects how the brain processes information, restoring more adaptive functioning.
Play Therapy is a developmentally-appropriate therapeutic service to assist in healing for children who have not yet developed the ability to talk about what impacts them. For children, play is their language, and toys are their words.
Children and adults express their attachment needs through both their behavior and their words. Trained therapists use attachment techniques to increase the amount of positive interactions experienced by the child, helping the child achieve healthy attachment and attunement to their primary caregivers.
